Service Description

At Straeon, we focus on the practice of Scene Study. The only way to become an extraordinary storyteller is to practice every day. Think of Straeon as a gym for actors and the coaches as your personal trainers. We keep our classes as close to the work environment as we possibly can. Our coaching is tailored to your needs to ensure you keep growing as an actor throughout your career. We also have an incredible network of actors, writers, and directors who are proactive at creating their own work. ​ The coaches assign you a new scene and scene partner every two weeks. In the first week, we'll do a first work based on your first take on the set. The goal is to improve the quality of the work you bring to the set so that you don't have to waste several takes warming up. The coaches will give you directions, notes and ideas on what you need to improve. Then, you take them home and work on them. In the following week, we'll do a second work of that scene. This time around, we'll mimic the work on the set, and we'll do several takes and work on specific parts of the scene. We'd be honoured if you let us be a part of your journey!

Cancellation Policy

Attendance, Refund and Cancellation Policy: At Straeon Acting Studios, we prioritize the collaborative nature of our classes, recognizing the mutual dependence between scene partners. To ensure the smooth functioning of our programs, we have established the following attendance and cancellation policy: 1. Weekly Attendance Requirement: - We expect our clients to attend every class, as their presence is crucial for the collaborative work with their scene partner. 2. Notification of Absence: - If, for any reason, a client cannot attend a class, we require them to notify us by Tuesday before the scheduled class. This allows us to adjust scene assignments accordingly. 3. Scene Assignment Allocation: - If you miss a class in the middle of a scene assignment, the second work of that scene will be forfeited, and you and your scene partner will be given a different scene and scene partner. 4. Refund and Rescheduling Policy: - We do not provide refunds for classes taken or missed. - Rescheduling of classes is not offered. 5. Cancellation Process: - Clients can cancel their program at any time by contacting us at info@straeonactingclasses.com. - Alternatively, cancellation can be initiated through your membership account.
